Article 55 GDPR. Competence
1. Kull awtorità superviżorja għandha tkun kompetenti biex twettaq il-kompiti assenjati lilha u l-eżerċizzju tas-setgħat ikkonferiti lilha f’konformità ma’ dan ir-Regolament fit-territorju tal-Istat Membru tagħha stess.
1. Each supervisory authority shall be competent for the performance of the tasks assigned to and the exercise of the powers conferred on it in accordance with this Regulation on the territory of its own Member State.

Artikolu 66 RĠPD (GDPR). Proċedura ta' urġenza
Article 66 GDPR. Urgency procedure
1. F’ċirkostanzi eċċezzjonali, fejn awtorità superviżorja kkonċernata tqis li hemm ħtieġa urġenti li taġixxi sabiex tipproteġi id-drittijiet u l-libertajiet tas-suġġetti tad-data, hija tista’, b’deroga mill-mekkaniżmu ta’ konsistenza msemmi fl-Artikoli 63, 64 u 65a jew il-proċedura msemmija fl-Artikolu 60, tadotta minnufih miżuri proviżorji maħsuba biex jipproduċu effetti legali fit-territorju tagħha stess b’perijodu speċifikat ta’ validità li ma għandux jaqbeż it-tliet xhur. L-awtorità superviżorja għandha, mingħajr dewmien, tikkomunika dawk il-miżuri u r-raġunijiet għall-adozzjoni tagħhom, lill-awtoritajiet superviżorji kkonċernati l-oħra, lill-Bord u lill-Kummissjoni.
1. In exceptional circumstances, where a supervisory authority concerned considers that there is an urgent need to act in order to protect the rights and freedoms of data subjects, it may, by way of derogation from the consistency mechanism referred to in Articles 63, 64 and 65 or the procedure referred to in Article 60, immediately adopt provisional measures intended to produce legal effects on its own territory with a specified period of validity which shall not exceed three months. The supervisory authority shall, without delay, communicate those measures and the reasons for adopting them to the other supervisory authorities concerned, to the Board and to the Commission.
2. Fejn awtorità superviżorja tkun ħadet miżura skont il-paragrafu 1 u tqis li miżuri finali jinħtieġu jiġu adottati b’mod urġenti, hija tista’ titlob opinjoni urġenti jew deċiżjoni vinkolanti urġenti mill-Bord, billi tagħti r-raġunijiet għat-talba ta’ tali opinjoni jew deċiżjoni.
2. Where a supervisory authority has taken a measure pursuant to paragraph 1 and considers that final measures need urgently be adopted, it may request an urgent opinion or an urgent binding decision from the Board, giving reasons for requesting such opinion or decision.
