Recital 66
(66) 온라인 환경에서의 잊힐 권리 강화를 위해서는 개인정보를 공개한 컨트롤러가 그 개인정보를 처리 중인 컨트롤러에게 해당 개인정보에 대한 링크, 사본, 복제물을 삭제하도록 통지할 의무를 지니는 방식으로 삭제권을 확대하여야 한다.
그렇게 함에 있어 컨트롤러는 해당 개인정보를 처리 중인 컨트롤러에게 정보주체의 요청을 통지하기 위한 기술 조치 등 컨트롤러가 가용할 수 있는 기술 및 방법을 고려하여 적절한 조치를 취해야 한다.
(66) To strengthen the right to be forgotten in the online environment, the right to erasure should also be extended in such a way that a controller who has made the personal data public should be obliged to inform the controllers which are processing such personal data to erase any links to, or copies or replications of those personal data.
In doing so, that controller should take reasonable steps, taking into account available technology and the means available to the controller, including technical measures, to inform the controllers which are processing the personal data of the data subject’s request.
